About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible pediatrician for a non-tenure accruing faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor in the Division of General Pediatrics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a nationally recognized academic medical center and contribute to the division’s missions of clinical excellence, teaching, research, and service. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive pediatric primary care while participating in the education of future healthcare professionals and pursuing scholarly activities aligned with their interests.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics.
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality outpatient pediatric primary care services within the General Pediatrics Primary Care clinics.
  • Participate in patient care activities at UF Health/Shands-affiliated clinical sites, including after-hours pediatric services as needed.
  • Deliver evidence-based, family-centered care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal health outcomes for pediatric patients.
  • Teach and mentor medical students, pediatric residents, physician assistant students, and other health professions learners.
  • Participate in educational conferences, curriculum development, and other academic activities within the Department of Pediatrics.
  • Contribute to the department’s commitment to excellence in medical education.
  • The position includes a dedicated research assignment, with opportunities to develop and participate in clinical, translational, quality improvement, health services, community-based, or educational research initiatives.
  • Faculty will be expected to engage in scholarly activities that contribute to the academic mission of the division and department.
