Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of manufacturing, industrial assembly, construction, or modular build experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and schematics
  • Experience using precision measuring tools and torque equipment
  • Forklift and/or overhead crane certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification)
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and production tracking systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and quality
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Complex Assembly & Installation: Perform advanced mechanical assembly, structural fit-up, alignment, and installation of components according to detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints, bills of materials, layout drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate build execution.
  • Precision Measurement & Alignment: Utilize measuring tools (tape measures, levels, torque wrenches, calipers, etc.) to ensure proper alignment, fit, and torque specifications.
  • Material Handling: Safely move large or heavy components using cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other lifting equipment (if certified).
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct in-process inspections, verify dimensional accuracy, and ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate advanced hand tools, power tools, and specialized production equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify assembly challenges or design discrepancies and collaborate with engineering, quality, and supervision to resolve issues.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete production documentation, quality checklists, work orders, and electronic tracking systems.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, PPE guidelines, and company policies at all times.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support lean manufacturing initiatives, 5S activities, and process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Team Collaboration: Mentor less experienced operators as needed and work cross-functionally to meet production and project goals.
