Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous warehouse, packing, or shipping experience preferred
  • Ability to follow written instructions and packaging standards
  • Basic math skills for counting, verifying quantities, and completing documentation
  • Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification)
  • Basic computer skills for shipping systems and documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment

Responsibilities

  • Packaging Operations: Package finished products and components according to work instructions, packaging standards, and customer requirements.
  • Material Preparation: Assemble boxes, crates, pallets, and protective packaging materials to ensure safe transport of goods.
  • Product Inspection: Visually inspect items prior to packaging to verify quality, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Labeling & Documentation: Apply shipping labels, barcodes, and documentation accurately; ensure proper identification of materials and shipments.
  • Shipping Verification: Verify quantities, part numbers, and packing lists to ensure order accuracy before shipment.
  • Material Handling: Move packaged goods and materials using pallet jacks, carts, or forklifts (if certified).
  • Inventory Support: Assist with staging, organizing, and maintaining shipping and finished goods areas.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a neat and orderly packing area in alignment with 5S and lean manufacturing standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with shipping, production, and warehouse teams to meet daily shipment goals and deadlines.
