About The Position

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is a Centre of Excellence in education, research and clinical care in women's health. The department has five academic divisions, 19 full-time academic faculty members, and over 100 clinical academic colleagues in general obstetrics and gynecology. Our faculty members encompass the full range of academic medicine including Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, Gynecological Oncology, Reproductive Sciences and Urogynecology. Internationally recognized for our innovative, collaborative and multidisciplinary approaches, we are positively impacting the health of women. Unlike traditional academic positions, AMHSP positions are unique opportunities that allow for the development of a viable academic career in conjunction with a clinical career. Competitively funded protected time for education and/or research is embedded in all AMHSP positions. As part of the new Obstetrics and Gynecology AMHSP and support of the medical school expansion, we are recruiting a clinician educator to support postgraduate and undergraduate medical education and the northern medical school expansion. OBGYN is a core part of the medical school training providing education in pre-clinical Repro block, 3rd year core clinical clerkship, surgery 556 selective in 4th year, and electives.
