About The Position

This is a .3 FTE continuing contract position for a General Music Teacher at Spruce Elementary beginning with the 2026-27 school year. It serves students participating in the Edmonds School District Dual Language Program, a Spanish-English bilingual model designed to develop bilingualism, biliteracy, and grade-level academic achievement for all students.

Requirements

Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Music endorsement, or the ability to obtain one prior to the position start date.
SIOP training and GLAD training offered by the Multilingual Education Department will be required for all new employees unless they can show evidence of having completed SIOP and GLAD training previously. Training will need to be completed within the first year of employment.

Nice To Haves

Spanish proficiency preferred to support instruction within the Edmonds School District Dual Language Program, which develops students' academic and social skills in both English and Spanish.
Experience supporting students in bilingual or dual-language settings.
ELL, ESOL, or Bilingual endorsement.
