About The Position

The Comfort Inn Old Town San Diego is seeking an energetic, hands-on General Manager to lead hotel operations and continue delivering exceptional guest experiences and strong financial performance. Located in the heart of Historic Old Town, our hotel serves leisure travelers, military families, government travelers, cruise passengers, and visitors exploring San Diego's world-famous attractions. The General Manager oversees all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring excellence in guest satisfaction, team development, revenue generation, financial performance, and property maintenance. The ideal candidate is a visible leader who enjoys engaging with guests, supporting associates, and driving results.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years of hotel leadership experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Operations Manager, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest service, revenue management, labor management, and financial reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, improve guest satisfaction, and achieve financial goals.
  • Experience with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Identify local business opportunities and market demand generators.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, labor costs, purchasing, and operating expenses.
  • Analyze financial results and implement strategies to improve profitability.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and brand requirements.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and capital improvement projects.
