The RealCold platform operates a national, omni-channel network, inclusive of traditional storage offerings, as well as comprehensive direct-to-consumer programs, which can reach the majority of U.S. consumers within 1- or 2-day ground service. Role Overview: The General Manager will plan and oversee the daily operations of the warehouse to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. Provide strategic direction and operational support to meet the established goals for a medium sized warehouse which carries a broad scope of responsibilities and complexity. Operate facility while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The incumbent must interface well with other team members to create a positive work environment and healthy team culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor�s degree in Logistics, Business Management, Business Administration, or related field required and five years operations management experience in supply chain or related field OR Ten (10) years of operations management experience in supply chain or related field required.
  • Five years of supervision or management experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of operations and production management experience required.
  • Demonstrated Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Skilled in planning, staffing, budgeting, and organizing.
  • Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to lead discussions, make presentations and deliver technical results to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Build & Lead Teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification through the Institute of Professional Managers (ICPM) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for promoting a Safety Culture throughout the Facility, working safe is always the #1 priority; clean as you go to ensure everyone is working in a safe environment.
  • Follow all safety rules & regulations at all times and be a conduit of safety to yourself and others.
  • Plans and organizes daily activities related to production and operations.
  • Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
  • Review and analyze all warehouse activities and costs to drive process improvement
  • Coordinate with other support departments such as Human Resources, finance, and safety to ensure successful production operations.
  • Oversee the shipping and receiving functions.
  • Determines labor needs to meet production goals.
  • Assists with budget preparation for operations unit.
  • Coordinates with marketing and sales departments to determine pricing, timing, and number of sales promotions, and products to be sold.
  • Assists with, prepares and updates, organization�s operations manual and policies.
  • Achieve company performance goals including internal and external Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as Labor to Revenue (LTR), productivity, profitability, and customer service standards
  • Direct, recruit, train, and develop employees.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
