About The Position

The General Manager is responsible for driving profitability by leading plant operations, developing people, and executing strategies that achieve PCC’s business objectives. This role ensures high levels of customer and employee satisfaction while continuously improving operational efficiency, safety, and financial performance.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead large organizations in a fast-paced, short-cycle manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing action plans that deliver measurable results.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in dynamic environments.
  • Experience driving performance in a metric-driven organization using Lean manufacturing and TOC principles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing
  • Required experience with investment casting and jet engine customers.
  • Demonstrated history of leading teams and delivering results through others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting and financial management.
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the champion of safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory adherence across the organization.
  • Own the plant’s P&L, including budgets, forecasts, and strategic planning.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term business plans to drive growth in revenue, profit, and cash flow.
  • Provide leadership on major organizational issues by working collaboratively with managers and employees while maintaining a deep understanding of all aspects of the business.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with the Division President and CEO.
  • Drive performance across plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including safety, quality, cost, delivery, sales, compliance, product development, and employee development.
  • Lead daily performance management and high-impact improvement projects aligned with Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost goals.
  • When performance gaps occur, develop and implement credible recovery plans with the leadership team.
  • Ensure annual facility sales revenue and profitability targets are achieved.
  • Drive product line growth through increased volume, market share, and acquisition of new customers.
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing manufacturing leadership team.
  • Foster strong employee engagement and positive employee relations.
  • Ensure continuous development of managers and employees through coaching, training, and accountability.
  • Establish strong cross-functional partnerships with EHS, Engineering, Sales, Quality, Finance, HR, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Communicate and present with professionalism to customers, suppliers, and corporate executives.
  • Lead efforts in customer service optimization, new product development, and product introduction.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, cost controls, and quality monitoring throughout the facility.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing, Theory of Constraints (TOC), and structured problem-solving methodologies to improve performance.
