General Manager - Jackson
About The Position
United Skates of America, a company with over 50 years of experience in recreation and entertainment facility management, is seeking an energetic and outgoing General Manager for its facility in Jackson Township, NJ. The facility features roller and inline skating, a large arcade, a novelty redemption shop, a pizza café, and hosts birthday parties. The company is looking for a motivated leader who thrives in a fun, fast-paced environment and enjoys creating memorable guest experiences. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring operational efficiency and profitability, managing P&L responsibilities, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and upholding high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience in P&L management and budgeting.
- Strong operational background with staff management and development experience.
- Expertise in sales and marketing, particularly in high-volume retail, restaurant, or entertainment industries.
- Ability to create and implement successful sales and marketing plans.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Reliable transportation or willingness to relocate to the Jackson Township area.
- Availability to work some holidays.
- Full-Time, Salaried Position
- Day, Evening, and Night Shifts (Weekend availability required)
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in entertainment, hospitality, restaurant, or retail operations preferred.
- Experience in high-volume environments (e.g., fast food, hospitality, or entertainment) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth and profitable performance.
- Manage all P&L responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing initiatives to drive growth and customer engagement.
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and maintain high operational standards.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and company policies.
