Zuern Building Products is currently seeking an experienced and people-focused General Manager to lead our Menomonee Falls location.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Directly supervises 8-10 employees.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops and implements organization policies and goals.
  • Actively engage in sales activities, including prospecting, lead generation, and closing deals to drive revenue growth.
  • Coach and support new and existing team members.
  • Manages staff’s timecards and performance reviews, confer with sales staff daily, resolve issues with staff with assistance of HR, evaluate staffing needs, and support safety requirements.
  • Review Inside Sales, Cabinetry Design and Sale, and Account Managers w/ Sales Manager to review sales and goals monthly.
  • Manage open orders on a weekly basis, manage daily report verification of gross profit exceptions, sales, gross profit dollars, and overtime reports, and monitor inventory levels with the purchasing department.
  • Coordinates activities of departments such as weekly 15-minute meetings, education events, employee events, and store events.
  • Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes in programs and operations (i.e.: President, VP, Sales Manager, department leads).
  • Oversee operations and special-order returns, understand AR credit issues, and resolve customer issues.
  • Direct and coordinate showroom layout, store cleanliness and property management.
  • Responsible for the opening and closing of the store (schedule with staff), be available after hours if maintenance is needed for property or computer repairs and oversee contacts for security system.
  • Attend 4 MBA and/or Nari events annually.
  • Stay current and active with community events.
