About The Position

In December, Steve Marshall Group acquired Lions Gate Dodge with a clear vision: rebuild, revitalize, and create one of the strongest Chrysler dealerships in British Columbia. This is not a maintenance role. This is an opportunity to lead a true dealership turnaround. We are seeking a proven automotive leader to join us as General Manager and play a key role in the next phase of our transformation journey. Requirements

  • Proven success as a General Manager, General Sales Manager, Fixed Operations Director, or other senior dealership leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through growth, change, or business transformation.
  • Strong understanding of both variable and fixed operations.
  • Advanced financial acumen with experience managing dealership profitability and P&L performance.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Experience with dealership management systems such as PBS or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the dealership's ongoing transformation and growth strategy.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and hold leaders accountable for results.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop department managers to build a strong leadership team.
  • Foster a culture built on integrity, teamwork, ownership, and customer service excellence.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational performance, market share, and profitability.
  • Manage dealership profitability and overall financial performance.
  • Analyze key performance indicators and implement action plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, expense management, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure effective inventory management across new and used vehicle operations.
  • Maintain compliance with OEM programs, performance standards, and incentive requirements.
  • Drive performance across New Vehicle, Used Vehicle, and Finance operations.
  • Champion a customer-first culture that generates loyalty, retention, and referrals.
  • Monitor and improve dealership processes to enhance efficiency and the customer journey.
  • Ensure sales practices align with dealership values and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner closely with Service and Parts leadership to maximize absorption, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Support strategies that increase customer retention and service growth.
  • Ensure exceptional service experiences and strong customer satisfaction results.
  • Promote operational excellence throughout all fixed operations departments.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top automotive talent.
  • Create an environment where employees feel engaged, supported, and accountable.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and succession planning discussions.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, recognition, and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable provincial regulations, VSA requirements, OEM standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ethical business practices.
  • Protect dealership assets, reputation, and customer trust through proactive risk management.
