About The Position

The Hotel General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Boston, MA, responsible for overseeing all hotel operations and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing staff across departments, coordinating front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage functions, and maintaining strong customer service standards. The role involves monitoring budgets, analyzing financial performance, and implementing strategies to increase revenue and control costs. The General Manager will also handle guest issues, ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations, manage vendor relationships, and uphold brand and quality standards. This role requires visible leadership on the property, coaching team members, and fostering a positive, safety-conscious work environment.

Requirements

  • Strong General Management and Business Management skills to oversee hotel operations and lead cross-functional teams effectively
  • Excellent Customer Service skills to maintain high guest satisfaction and handle guest concerns professionally
  • Solid Budgeting skills to manage operating expenses, forecast revenues, and support profitability goals
  • Familiarity with Food & Beverage operations to coordinate restaurant, bar, and catering services within the hotel

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hotel or hospitality leadership experience
  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Proficiency with hotel management systems and basic office software
  • A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
