About The Position

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to join our team at Shady Acres Pet Ranch Pet Ranch. Reporting directly to the Owner, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of the facility and ensuring the highest standards of pet care are maintained. Your responsibilities will include supervising staff, ensuring the well-being of pets, and maintaining a positive customer experience. It is REQUIRED that the candidate have prior General Manager experience and can demonstrate a clear understanding of managing a Business and the many other needed skill sets to be successful. We want someone who can bring in VALUABLE experience to our organization.

Requirements

  • Prior management experience in a position as a General Manager.

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the pet care industry or a similar field.
  • In-depth knowledge of pet care best practices, including health, nutrition, and behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of pet care professionals.
  • Foster a positive, drama-free work environment.
  • Conduct staff training, performance reviews, and coaching to drive success.
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to a team of pet care attendants, ensuring they adhere to Shady Acres Pet Ranch Pet Ranch's protocols and standards.
  • Train new staff members on pet care procedures, safety protocols, and customer service practices.
  • Schedule and assign duties to staff, ensuring appropriate coverage for all areas of the facility.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance staff performance and development.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the facility, ensuring efficiency and organization.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with all pet care standards.
  • Monitor and implement best practices in pet handling, feeding, medication administration, and safety.
  • Ensure the facility is well-stocked and equipment is well-maintained.
  • Monitor and ensure the well-being and safety of pets in the facility, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Implement and enforce pet care protocols, including feeding, exercise, grooming, and medication administration.
  • Coordinate with veterinary professionals to address medical needs and emergencies, following Shady Acres Pet Ranch Pet Ranch's guidelines.
  • Conduct regular inspections of pet boarding areas, play areas, and other facilities to maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere for customers and pet owners, providing excellent customer service.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Assist in the resolution of customer issues and ensure a positive customer experience throughout their pet's stay.
  • Maintain strong relationships with pet parents, fostering loyalty and trust.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of pet information, including medical records, feeding schedules, and special instructions.
  • Help manage inventory and supplies, ensuring an adequate stock of pet care essentials.
  • Collaborate with the Owner on administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and staff communication.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for pets and customers.
  • Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to the Owner promptly.
  • Manage budgets, payroll, and other financial aspects in collaboration with ownership.
  • Work with Owner to analyze and implement strategies for growth and profitability.
  • Work with Owner to ensure the company meets financial targets while maintaining quality service.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as Shady Acres Pet Ranch Pet Ranch's policies and procedures.
  • Train staff on emergency procedures and proper pet handling technique.
  • Act as the point person for any facility or pet-related emergencies.
  • Demonstrate proven leadership experience: Evidence of successfully leading teams or projects, showcasing your ability to inspire, motivate, and guide others towards achieving collective goals.
