About The Position

GRS Recruiting has partnered with a custom/engineered industrial manufacturer in their search for a General Manager/Operations Leader in Northeast, OH. This is a highly autonomous role where you can bring your vision, build your plan, and run with it from day one. You will have the opportunity to build and shape your own team beneath you within a collaborative, tight-knit culture free from corporate bureaucracy and red tape. This role offers meaningful ownership over outcomes in a position where your impact is visible and recognized. The company is stable, established, and has a strong foothold in its market with a long-term growth trajectory. You will report directly to the CEO with a clear and defined succession path to lead the entire business.

Requirements

• Proven experience in manufacturing operations leadership.
• Background in custom or configured-to-order product environments.
• Machine building or engineered systems experience is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee cross-functional operations including mechanical and controls engineering, machining, and supply chain.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Able to build, develop, and align teams around clear goals and processes (will oversee a team of 40+).
• Proven ability to install structure, develop procedures, and drive operational improvement independently.
• Confident, decisive, and results-oriented.
• Able to take ownership and execute without waiting to be managed.
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment where initiative and follow-through are essential.
