About The Position

The General Manager oversees all aspects of center operations, including risk management, teammate development, client performance metrics, production, and administrative functions. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, achieving company goals for performance and growth, and ensuring world-class customer service. The General Manager provides strong leadership to maintain CARSTAR standards, foster team engagement, and deliver consistent, high-quality results in alignment with Buller Automotive’s mission and values.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Proven experience in the automotive repair industry and/or in managing a high-performing team.
  • In-depth knowledge of the collision repair process, production flow, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills with the ability to effectively prioritize, problem-solve, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership excellence with exceptional communication, coaching, and team development abilities.
  • Approachable and professional demeanor with a strong commitment to delivering world-class customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Consistently maintains a polished, professional appearance that reflects the standards of Buller Automotive and the CARSTAR brand.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, recognize, and retain talented teammates.
  • Monitor and coach the performance of all Center staff, ensuring proper training.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead, develop, and inspire others to achieve success.
  • Be responsible for overall team engagement, including leading engagement meetings and communicating the center scoreboard.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Values.
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the Center and strive to meet them.
  • Supervise sales, production, and administrative operations.
  • Monitor current and past financial performance metrics to identify opportunities and trends.
  • Periodically review estimates to ensure accuracy and compliance with Company and Client guidelines.
  • Ensure DRP accounts are properly managed and updates are communicated to regional staff.
  • Ensure all associates follow Carstar standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure the center meets OE/Insurer and I-CAR qualification requirements.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance, including hazmat documentation.
  • Comply with all Carstar safety rules, creating a culture of safety through good housekeeping and PPE usage.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with insurance adjusters, departments, and customers to promote repeat/referral business.
  • Represent Carstar in the local community and support marketing, sponsorship, and outreach initiatives.
  • Uphold professionalism in all interactions with associates, customers, clients, and vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
