About The Position

The General Manager is responsible for upholding and administering all Regal policies, ensuring cash management and concession inventory standards are met, and supervising all staff. This role involves hiring, training, and managing employees, overseeing theatre operations including projection and audio-visual equipment, controlling costs, and managing theatre maintenance. The General Manager is also responsible for guest relations, marketing, promotions, scheduling, and financial reconciliation. Additionally, they must ensure compliance with all company policies and legal requirements, including alcohol service regulations and anti-harassment training.

Requirements

  • Two years of post-secondary education in Business and/or two years management or supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of all systems within facility in Booth and Projection technology including maintenance, programming, TMS operation and all related projection skills.
  • Must be of legal age to sell and serve alcohol if assigned duties include selling/serving alcohol.
  • Must complete any legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate for alcohol service.
  • Must complete the Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Academy.
  • Good public speaking skills.
  • Effectively communicate in both oral and written form with employees, vendors, corporate staff, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Upholding and administering all Regal policies.
  • Ensuring all cash management policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Controlling concession inventory shortages and spoilage levels.
  • Hiring, training, developing, supervising, counseling, scheduling, and terminating employees.
  • Administering all applicable Human Resources paperwork and upholding company policies.
  • Ensuring required alcohol certification and training are current.
  • Supervising all staff positions, including projection and audio-visual equipment, hardware, software, film handling, and maintenance.
  • Controlling costs, including direct operating expenses, purchasing, ordering stock, and inventory management.
  • Supervising theatre maintenance, performing minor repairs, and obtaining qualified personnel for larger concerns.
  • Monitoring janitorial staff to ensure facility cleanliness.
  • Monitoring risk management, including team member and guest safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and accident reporting/investigation.
  • Managing guest relations, marketing and promotions, scheduling of movie show times, and timely delivery of show times.
  • Counting, depositing, and reconciling all receipts (cash, credit cards, coupons, gift cards, checks, discount tickets, etc.).
  • Reading and understanding training materials on subjects such as anti-harassment and discrimination.
