About The Position

As a General Manager, you will lead and coach your team to provide great experiences for our guests, create an environment where engagement, diversity and showmanship are paramount, set the standard for professionalism and deliver exceptional service, facility cleanliness, premiere picture and sound, food & beverage.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of post-secondary education in Business and/or two years management or supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of all systems within facility in Booth and Projection technology including maintenance, programming, TMS operation and all related projection skills.
  • If the theatre sells alcohol and your assigned duties will include the selling/serving of alcohol, must be of legal age to sell and serve alcohol according to state or local laws.
  • Must complete any legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate for alcohol sales/service.
  • Must complete the Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.
  • Good public speaking skills.
  • Effectively communicate in both oral and written form with employees, vendors, corporate staff, etc.
  • Listen effectively, respond clearly and directly, and ability to explain information to others.
  • Perform calculations with speed and accuracy, and identify and correct errors.
  • Identify problems, gather relevant data, and note possible causes of problems.

  • Proven experience with PC platforms and knowledge of basic office programs including but not limited to e-mail, word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Operate copiers and other office equipment, devise and access different filing systems and maintain attention to detail.
  • Use tools and equipment with dexterity, and perform mechanical tasks as necessary.
  • Interface effectively with customers, the public, and co-workers, and exhibit sensitivity to the feelings of others.
  • Establish goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve desired objectives.
  • Continually set a standard for others to follow and install leadership traits in subordinate Management.
  • Employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Employee is regularly required to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach your team to provide great experiences for our guests.
  • Create an environment where engagement, diversity and showmanship are paramount.
  • Set the standard for professionalism and deliver exceptional service, facility cleanliness, premiere picture and sound, food & beverage.
  • Proactively lead the theatre team to ensure achievement of business goals in revenue, expense, profitability, guest satisfaction, inventory control, and employee morale.
  • Act as a representative of Regal in a way that is consistent with our mission statement and policies.
  • Uphold and administer all Regal policies as outlined in ROM and Corporate directives.
  • Ensure all cash management policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Control concession inventory shortages and spoilage levels.
  • Monitor janitorial staff to ensure facility is cleaned to Regal standards every day.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, developing, supervising, counseling, scheduling, and termination of employees (after conferring with the Human Resources Manager).
  • Properly administer all applicable paperwork and uphold all company policies as they pertain to Human Resources.
  • Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
  • Supervise all staff positions as required, including all projection and audio-visual equipment within the theatre, both hardware and software, as well as all applicable film handling and maintenance.
  • Control costs, including all direct operating expenses.
  • Purchase and order concession and café stock and any other supplies needed for daily operations, as well as manage inventory and auditing processes.
  • Supervise theatre maintenance (building and grounds, where applicable), including performing minor repairs and obtaining qualified personnel for larger maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor risk management as it pertains to the theatre, i.e., cast member and guest safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and the proper handling, reporting, and investigating of accidents.
  • Manage guest relations.
  • Oversee marketing and promotions of feature film engagements.
  • Schedule movie show times and ensure timely delivery of show times to all proper channels.
  • Count, deposit, and reconcile all receipts taken in during a business day, including cash, credit cards, coupons, gift cards, checks, discount tickets, and any other mode of payment or accountability.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction – smile, greet, and thank all guests.
  • Directly supervise an unspecified number of employees.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Perform interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching of employees.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems.
