About The Position
The General Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also involves delivering products by car to customers’ doors and distributing flyers and door hangers. The position requires accurate and quick basic arithmetic and making correct monetary change. The General Manager uses verbal, written, telephone, keyboard, and touch-screen skills to process orders and communicate with customers and co-workers. The role also requires coordination and precise, rapid movements, comprehension and delivery of written instructions, map-reading and navigation skills, and the ability to navigate varied delivery locations and terrain while carrying products.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Ability to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying product.
- Ability to deliver product by car.
