General Manager

Better Collision CollisionsMyrtle Beach, SC
Onsite

About The Position

We're Coming to Myrtle Beach. Better Collision Centers is expanding to the Grand Strand — and we're looking for a leader who will help us make a lasting impact on this community, the Better Collision way. This isn't a corporate placement. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build something meaningful. We need someone who sees this location as theirs — someone who will carry this shop on their back from day one, bring their own network, assemble their own team, and operate like they own the business. If you're waiting for a company to hand you a playbook and a roster, this isn't the role for you. If you're the kind of leader who already knows who they'd hire , who builds relationships before they need them, and who takes ownership of outcomes before being asked — keep reading. Who We Are At Better Collision Centers, we're not just fixing vehicles — we're restoring trust, confidence, and peace of mind. We are one of the fastest-growing collision repair organizations in the United States, doubling revenue year over year for four consecutive years. Our growth is intentional. Our culture is the foundation. And our leadership team is being built now — with people who think like owners. Our Mission We exist to transform collision repair into a transparent, trusted, high-performing experience — for customers, employees, and partners alike. About the Role This is not a shop management position. This is a community leadership role with operational responsibilities. You will be the face of Better Collision in the Myrtle Beach market — responsible for building a team, earning the trust of the community, and delivering results that reflect our standards.

Requirements

  • Entrepreneurial mindset. You operate like an owner. You don't wait for direction — you create momentum.
  • A network you can activate. You should already have relationships with technicians, advisors, and professionals you'd bring with you. We don't expect you to depend on the company to staff your shop — we expect you to build your own team.
  • Deep community connections. Myrtle Beach isn't just a dot on a map. You understand this market, you know how to build trust locally, and you're committed to becoming part of the fabric of the Grand Strand.
  • Strong business acumen. You understand the numbers — cycle time, gross profit, parts margins, labor efficiency — and you use them to make better decisions.
  • Emotional intelligence. You manage people, not just tasks. You read the room, adapt your approach, and lead with empathy without sacrificing accountability.
  • Upward and downward communication. You report to regional leadership with clarity and confidence. You communicate to your team with purpose and consistency. You never leave people guessing.
  • The ability to delegate and develop. You build people up. You don't hoard responsibility — you equip others to carry it.
  • Tactful leadership under pressure. You handle conflict, competing priorities, and tough conversations with composure.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams (collision industry preferred, but strong operational leadership from other industries will be considered).
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, and retain talent independently.
  • Strong operational discipline and financial literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills — clear, confident, and consistent.
  • A coaching mindset and genuine desire to develop others.
  • Accountability without ego.
  • A desire to grow into higher leadership roles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred.
  • Ability to be present on the shop floor and work safely in a production environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of conditions.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat as needed.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity
  • Up to 14 days of PTO annually (prorated in first year; available for use after 90 days)
  • 1 Floating Holiday upon hire
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Voluntary life insurance
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Professional development and leadership growth opportunities
