About The Position
The General Manager performs in-store operations including operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Orientation and training are provided on the job. The role also includes delivering products by car to customers, delivering flyers, doorhangers, or other marketing materials, and driving within a designated delivery area. The employee must be able to navigate to addresses and delivery locations, including adverse terrain and multistory buildings.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and over the phone.
- Ability to perform arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and use a calculator if needed.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately; ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multistory buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products.
- Ability to perform the described physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying products weighing up to 60 pounds, pushing and pulling trays, climbing stairs or ladders, bending, crouching, and reaching.
- Far and night vision for driving; ability to talk and hear on the telephone, use near- and mid-range vision, perceive depth, and differentiate hot and cold surfaces.
