The General Manager is the leader of the restaurant. Requirements

2–5 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in Fast Casual or Quick Service
Proven leadership experience managing high-performing teams
Experience with hiring, scheduling, coaching, and performance management
Strong understanding of restaurant financials including labor, food cost, and P&L management
Food Safety/ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain)
Proficient with restaurant technology and Microsoft Office
Ability to travel occasionally for meetings or training

Responsibilities

Lead People: Create a positive, respectful, and engaging culture where Team Members thrive. Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain top talent. Develop Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Team Members into future leaders. Conduct coaching conversations, performance reviews, recognition, and accountability. Foster an environment built on trust, communication, and teamwork. Ensure every Team Member understands and lives the FRESH Core Values.
Deliver an Exceptional Guest Experience: Champion genuine hospitality and create memorable Guest experiences. Maintain outstanding standards for food quality, cleanliness, speed, and accuracy. Resolve Guest concerns with professionalism and care. Ensure every Guest leaves wanting to return.
Drive Restaurant Operations: Lead all daily restaurant operations. Maintain excellence in food safety, sanitation, and health department standards. Ensure proper staffing, scheduling, and shift execution. Maintain equipment, facilities, and restaurant appearance. Lead by example by working alongside your team during all dayparts.
Own the Business: Take ownership of your restaurant as if it were your own. You are accountable for sales growth, profitability, labor management, food cost, waste reduction, inventory accuracy, scheduling, productivity, cash handling, P&L performance, and operational excellence. Analyze business trends, identify opportunities, and create action plans that continually improve restaurant performance.
Build Your Community: Represent Surcheros within your local community. Support local schools, organizations, and fundraising opportunities. Execute Local Store Marketing initiatives. Build lasting relationships that strengthen the Surcheros brand.
