About The Position

Denny's is seeking a Superstar General Manager to direct restaurant operations. This role is responsible for guest service, hospitality, brand standards execution, and employee training. The General Manager will achieve controllable profit and flow-thru goals by overseeing all controllable costs and taking corrective action. They will ensure timely implementation of company initiatives and marketing promotions, and develop Restaurant Managers and hourly employees through training programs and individual development plans. The position also ensures equipment and facilities comply with RREMC standards, attracts and retains top hourly talent, and shares responsibility for hiring and developing Restaurant Managers. Proactive handling of employee relations and brand standard deviations, involving DM and HR as needed, is crucial. The role involves developing and executing local store marketing plans to build community relationships and drive sales growth. Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements

3+ years’ experience in restaurant management
Strong organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to communicate with all levels of the RREMC organization
Communicates effectively in the English language
Food Safety Manager Certification
Ability to identify and anticipate opportunities and implement corrective action steps.

Disciplined and flexible with the ability to adjust to changing local market and restaurant conditions while properly balancing work with personal life.
Solid financial and business acumen.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Periodic travel to include occasional overnight travel.
Licensed to operate an automobile without hours of operation restrictions.

Nice To Haves

Additional operations and / or leadership experience preferred.
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, but individual with high school diploma or equivalent and a proven, successful operations background will be considered.

Responsibilities

Directs restaurant operations with responsibility for guest service, Hospitality, brand standards execution, and employee training.
Achieves controllable profit and flow thru goals by overseeing all controllable cost and taking the appropriate corrective action to achieve the desire results.
Ensures timely implementation and ongoing execution of all company and corporate initiatives and marketing promotions.
Develops Restaurant Managers and hourly employees through Denny’s training programs, individual development plans, and assignments.
Ensures all equipment and facilities are in compliance with RREMC standards and takes corrective action when required.
Attracts, hires, and retains the best hourly talent to meet staffing requirements and customer service standards and expectations.
Shares responsibility with DM on attracting, hiring & developing Restaurant Managers to make a cohesive management team.
Proactively handles employee relations issues and deviations from brand standards; involves the DM and HR as appropriate to resolve issues.
Develops and executes the local store marketing plan to build relationships with civic, business, school, and professional organizations to drive sales and guest count growth.
