About The Position

At Reynolds Dog Resort West Linn, we’re all about hiring and retaining the best talent for our furry friends! As our General Manager, you'll be at the helm of a vibrant team, running the show, pampering pets, and ensuring smiles all around. This role involves leading daily operations, managing staff, delivering top-notch customer service, and balancing administrative tasks with active involvement in front desk, daycare, and kennel operations. You will also monitor staff performance, support team member growth and development, and collaborate across Village Pet Care’s departments to achieve shared objectives. Responsibilities include preparing daily revenue reports, handling end-of-day procedures, safeguarding pet guests, managing inventory, overseeing team shifts, ensuring budget adherence, and promoting the resort within the community.

Requirements

  • A proven track record of at least 2 years in management, demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to drive team performance. This role requires overseeing P&L, project management, departmental operations and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Strong commitment to guest service and their family members we serve.
  • Knowledgeable about and skilled in using technology, particularly computers, software, and other digital tools. Comfortable with various gadgets and applications and can troubleshoot issues, understand new technologies quickly, and adapt to changing tech environments.
  • Skilled in managing people, recruiting and retention, coaching, problem-solving, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Previous experience with animals is a plus.

  • Utilize effective organizational strategies and tools to track progress and manage multiple responsibilities and meeting deadlines without compromising on quality.

  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Out-of-the-box thinker with a drive to improve and grow the resort.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain active throughout your shift.

  • Promote Reynolds Dog Resort West Linn, network within the community, and represent our brand with enthusiasm.
  • Undertake other responsibilities as needed to maintain seamless operations.
