About The Position

Regal Cinemas is seeking a General Manager to uphold and administer all company policies, ensure adherence to cash management procedures, and control concession inventory. The role involves hiring, training, supervising, and potentially terminating employees. The General Manager will oversee all staff, including projection and audio-visual equipment, manage costs, supervise theatre maintenance, monitor janitorial staff, and handle risk management concerning team member and guest safety. Responsibilities also include guest relations, marketing, scheduling show times, and reconciling all receipts. The position requires understanding anti-harassment and discrimination training materials.

Requirements

  • Two years of post-secondary education in Business and/or two years management or supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of all systems within facility in Booth and Projection technology including maintenance, programming, TMS operation and all related projection skills.
  • If the theatre sells alcohol and assigned duties include selling/serving alcohol, must be of legal age to sell and serve alcohol according to state or local laws.
  • Must complete any legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate for alcohol sales/service.
  • Must complete the Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Academy.
  • Possess good public speaking skills.
  • Effectively communicate in both oral and written form with employees, vendors, corporate staff, etc.
  • Listen effectively, respond clearly and directly, and ability to explain information to others.
  • Perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors.
  • Identify problems, gather relevant data, and note possible causes of problems.

Responsibilities

  • Upholding and administering all Regal policies.
  • Ensuring all cash management policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Controlling concession inventory shortages and spoilage levels.
  • Hiring, training, developing, supervising, counseling, scheduling, and terminating employees.
  • Administering all applicable Human Resources paperwork and upholding company policies.
  • Ensuring required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
  • Supervising all staff positions, including projection and audio-visual equipment, hardware and software, film handling, and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of all systems within the facility in Booth and Projection technology, including maintenance, programming, TMS operation, and projection skills.
  • Controlling costs, including direct operating expenses, purchasing and ordering stock and supplies, and inventory/auditing processes.
  • Supervising theatre maintenance (building and grounds), performing minor repairs, and obtaining qualified personnel for larger maintenance concerns.
  • Monitoring janitorial staff to ensure the facility is cleaned to Regal standards.
  • Monitoring risk management, including team member and guest safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and accident handling/reporting/investigating.
  • Responsible for guest relations, marketing and promotions, scheduling movie show times, and timely delivery of show times.
  • Counting, depositing, and reconciling all receipts taken in during a business day, including various forms of payment and accountability.
  • Reading and understanding training materials on subjects such as anti-harassment and discrimination.
