General Manager - WI
About The Position
The General Manager runs the entire store, including its team, financial performance, and customer experience, with full P&L ownership. This leader is responsible for operational excellence, developing a strong team, and building a positive, high-retention culture. The role oversees day-to-day restaurant operations, including staffing, ordering, inventory, food preparation, food safety, cash accountability, and operating standards. Corporate certification and role-specific training are provided, and completion is part of the path to full certification. The franchisee operates more than 100 Jimmy John's stores across seven states and describes opportunities to advance into multi-unit or corporate leadership.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be able to work 40 or more hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Be comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Be able to set priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Be skilled at resolving customer and employee issues.
- Complete the provided corporate certification and role-specific training, including Restaurant Safety, Shift/Assistant/General Manager, and Food Safety training, as part of the path to full certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of up to 50 people, including management staff.
- Hire, train, schedule, and conduct performance reviews.
- Manage the store's P&L, identify issues, and drive results against goals.
- Oversee ordering, inventory, food preparation, and food safety.
- Maintain cash accountability and daily operational standards.
- Resolve customer and employee issues.
- Build a positive, high-retention team culture.
