About The Position

The General Manager is responsible for driving the performance, alignment, and execution of operations at the Dalton, GA facility. This role leads through supervisors and functional leaders across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and planning to ensure consistent delivery of production, cost, and service objectives. Working in close partnership with the Director of Operations, the General Manager plays a key role in executing business strategy, improving financial performance, and advancing operational initiatives. This position is designed for a high-performing operations leader ready to take on broader business ownership, with increasing responsibility for financial, strategic, and operational leadership. Over time, the role is expected to evolve into a General Manager role with expanded responsibility across the U.S. operation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or operations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver operational results.
  • Strong background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimization.
  • Experience with automotive or regulated quality systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and complex operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Ensure production schedules and customer commitments are consistently achieved.
  • Drive operational improvements in labor utilization and flexibility, downtime reduction, process flow and throughput.
  • Establish and maintain clear performance metrics, accountability, and execution discipline across all operational areas.
  • Drive performance against budgeted operational targets, including labor efficiency, material usage, and overall cost control.
  • Monitor key cost drivers and lead initiatives to improve operational performance.
  • Partner with Finance and the Operations team on forecasting, variance analysis, and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure coordination and alignment across operations, supply chain, quality, planning, and customer-facing functions, including program management, technical functions, and maintenance.
  • Align production and material flow with customer demand and business priorities.
  • Contribute to RFQ and program execution by ensuring operational feasibility and cost awareness.
  • Lead execution of key operational initiatives, including labor efficiency, throughput improvements, inventory accuracy, and process discipline with audit readiness.
  • Identify systemic issues and drive root-cause problem solving.
  • Ensure improvements are embedded into sustainable processes and operating standards.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF standards and customer specific requirements.
  • Lead audit readiness and structured internal and external audit processes.
  • Drive closure of corrective actions and systemic improvements.
  • Reinforce management review processes ensuring visibility, accountability, and consistent execution.
  • Lead and develop supervisors and operational leaders, building accountability at all levels.
  • Establish clear expectations around performance, ownership, and execution.
  • Develop team capability through coaching, cross-training, skill development, and leadership growth within the organization.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support execution of U.S. operational strategy and key business initiatives by translating direction into clear operational plans and measurable results.
  • Take on increasing ownership of financial and business performance over time, including expanded involvement in forecasting, planning, and decision-making.
