A growing materials production and transportation company is seeking a General Manager to join the team in Central Ohio. This leader will oversee daily operations across trucking, yard, and processing functions while partnering with ownership to improve efficiency, scale production, and drive profitability. Requirements

5+ years of leadership experience in aggregates, topsoil, excavation, or similar industries
Strong knowledge of material processing and earthwork operations
Experience managing trucking logistics and high-volume transportation workflows
Proven ability to lead teams and improve operational performance
Hands-on approach with the ability to operate in both field and leadership environments

Nice To Haves

Experience integrating yard operations with transportation/logistics
Strong business acumen with a focus on profitability and growth
Background in scaling or improving operational systems

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations across transportation, dispatch, yard, and material processing
Optimize hauling logistics, routing, and scheduling to improve efficiency and margins
Oversee production activities, including topsoil and aggregate processing
Identify and implement process improvements across operations
Partner with maintenance and parts teams to ensure equipment readiness and uptime
Build and scale teams, equipment plans, and operational infrastructure
Monitor performance metrics and drive cost control initiatives
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Act as a key leader in modernizing and growing the business
