About The Position
This role involves operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Orientation and training are provided on the job. Essential skills include accurate mathematical calculations, making correct monetary change, strong verbal and written communication for order processing, eye-hand coordination for precise movements, and the ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. The work environment includes varying temperatures, potential exposure to fumes and dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Tasks are primarily performed standing, with walking in short distances. Sitting is involved for paperwork completion. Lifting of up to 50 pounds is required for bulk deliveries, with stacking up to 72 inches high. Carrying large cans and pizza sauce is necessary, as well as carrying trays of pizza dough. Pushing is required for moving trays on dollies. Climbing stairs or ladders may be necessary. Stooping, bending, crouching, and squatting are performed for various tasks including stocking and cleaning. Reaching is continuous in all directions for various tasks. Hand tasks require continuous use of hands, with frequent and/or forceful pinching for box assembly, and grasping various items. Team members may utilize pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza wheel.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Valid driver's license with safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
- Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
- Visually inspect tires to insure proper tread wear and tread depth daily.
- Maintain your vehicle in good running condition.
