The General Manager is responsible for everything that happens during a shift, including cost, inventory, and cash controls, customer relations, staffing, paperwork, food management, scheduling, store standards and cleanliness, marketing, and profitability. The manager must set an example, follow all policies and procedures, and expect the same from the crew. The role requires directing activities, working independently and with others, handling pressure, meeting quality standards, and making sound judgments and decisions. General store duties include operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The job posting also describes delivery duties, including delivering products and flyers, and requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record and access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery. The work involves standing for most tasks, walking, occasional sitting for paperwork, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs or ladders, bending, crouching, and continuous reaching. Conditions may include varying weather, changing temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped cooler space, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Team members must communicate with customers and coworkers, use a computer keyboard or touchscreen, and navigate delivery areas and buildings.
