An Avis General Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall performance and profitability of the used vehicle sales operation, leading the sales team to meet and exceed targets. This role includes forecasting sales, managing inventory, and ensuring the team is well-trained, motivated, and knowledgeable about all vehicles. The General Manager also handles hiring, performance management, and customer issue resolution, while assisting with deal closings when needed. Additionally, they monitor sales metrics, implement marketing and promotional strategies, finalize sales and trade-in agreements, and collaborate with rental operations to support remarketing efforts, all while maintaining strong customer service and operational excellence.
