General Manager
About The Position
Glow Car Wash is looking for an experienced General Manager ready to run their location like an owner — not just supervise it. You'll have full accountability for your site's labor hours, team performance, and customer experience, with real input into how the business grows. This isn't an entry-level management role. We want someone who's already led teams, hit expectations, and knows what operational excellence looks like — and who's looking for a company where that experience is rewarded with autonomy and a clear path up. Glow Car Wash was founded in 2015 in Central New Jersey and has grown quickly to 4 locations. The company was built on the idea of a fast, safe, high-quality wash paired with an exceptional experience for customers and employees alike.
Requirements
- 3+ years of management/leadership experience required, ideally with P&L, budget, or revenue-target ownership
- Experience in retail, hospitality, restaurant, automotive, or car wash management preferred
- A track record of building and retaining strong teams
- Strong operational instincts: staffing, scheduling, cost control, customer recovery
- Comfortable in a physical, outdoor, fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license
- Available weekends
- General Manager: 3 years (Required)
- Team development: 3 years (Required)

Responsibilities
- Own your location's revenue, labor, and cost targets — not just "hit goals," but see the numbers and make the calls
- Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team; build the bench for your own next promotion
- Drive membership sales and retention as a core revenue lever, with visibility into your site's numbers
- Own staffing, scheduling, productivity, safety, and site standards
- Ensure site cleanliness and operational standards are met on a daily basis
- Set the tone for five-star service and resolve escalations with authority
- Lead by example — hands-on, in the field, alongside your team (~90% of the role is outdoors and active)
