About The Position

Roberts Resorts & Communities is seeking a General Manager for its Gold Canyon location. This role is central to building community and fulfilling dreams for residents and guests. The position involves active engagement with residents and staff, both during the busy winter season and the project-focused summer season. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who enjoys being outdoors, interacting with people, and taking pride in the property. This is not a desk-bound role; it requires visibility and presence across the resort.

The winter season (October-April) is characterized by high activity with residents, guests, golf, and events. The summer season (May-September) is dedicated to projects, planning, repairs, improvements, rate reviews, hiring, and preparing for the next season. Candidates should consider which season's pace best suits their working style.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience managing an RV resort, campground, golf community, HOA, or similar hospitality operation.
• Proficiency with budgets, P&Ls, and revenue discussions.
• Strong communication skills, including public speaking confidence.
• A genuine enjoyment of people, golf, and the outdoors.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and events during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly meetings with residents, focusing on listening, clear communication, and follow-through.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain the resort, golf course, and grounds.
• Partner with the Activities Director to develop a vibrant community calendar.
• Support the Rental Home Manager to ensure high occupancy rates during peak season.
• Work with the Revenue Manager on pricing strategies, including nightly rates, seasonal pricing, and rental increases.
• Manage budgets, staffing, and daily operations.
• Lead summer projects and planning initiatives to enhance the resort for the upcoming season.
• Maintain a visible, approachable, and present demeanor across the property daily.
