This position is responsible for the overall training compliance of their station. The General Manager will lead a team to run a safe, efficient, and effective operation while delivering top-notch service to American Airlines customers. This role involves oversight and coordination of the day-to-day operation to ensure maximum quality and safety of on-time movement of aircraft through the station. The General Manager will drive accountability to build and manage a strong and motivated team, ensuring the right people are in place in the operation. This is a visible and active leadership role, requiring the manager to be actively engaged with employees and establish lines of communication.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Possess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended state driver’s license; some license restrictions may prohibit a candidate from being considered for this role
Previous experience with a commercial airline or ground handler in a leadership role
Available to work non-standard work schedules, when necessary, due to changing or unplanned operational needs; including ability to be available to your team 24/7/365
Must have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with various internal and external partners
Must be accomplished, customer-focused, accountable, self-motivated, and collaborative
Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Experience working with contract labor workgroups may be preferred in some locations
