About The Position

American General Media is seeking a General Manager to lead and grow an established, tenured team in Albuquerque.
This is a player-coach leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth through coaching, accountability, and strategic direction, while also maintaining and growing a personal book of business. This role is not about rebuilding—it is about refining performance, strengthening accountability, and unlocking additional growth from an experienced team.
This is an in-office leadership role requiring daily presence with the team.

Requirements

• Proven success in sales leadership and individual revenue generation
• Experience managing and growing tenured sales teams
• Strong coaching and performance management skills
• Ability to balance market and station responsibilities with leadership duties
• Strategic thinker with a focus on revenue growth and execution
• Strong communication and leadership presence

Nice To Haves

• Media, radio, or integrated marketing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead a tenured sales team and elevate overall performance
• Personally manage and grow house accounts.
• Coach Account Executives to increase billing, retention, and share of wallet
• Identify performance gaps and implement targeted adjustments to drive growth
• Establish and maintain a culture of accountability, professionalism, and execution
• Align sales efforts with programming, promotions, and digital initiatives
• Actively participate in key account strategy and client relationships
• Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and revenue tracking
• Provide consistent, visible, and engaged leadership within the office
