About The Position

Einstein Bros. Bagels is seeking a General Manager to oversee all aspects of a store with an ownership-minded approach. The role is hands-on and involves leading store operations, motivating and developing team members, and ensuring customers have an exceptional experience. Stores use a one-shift model and close at 2 p.m.; leaders may begin as early as 4 a.m. to bake and open. The company provides five weeks of training.

Requirements

• At least 1–3 years of prior General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience in a restaurant setting.
• Hands-on operating ability and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Experience with strategies for achieving food cost goals and labor targets.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Prior exposure to P&L analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of store operations.
• Prepare the first bake and open the store, potentially starting as early as 4 a.m.
• Keep the store audit-ready and ensure catering, mobile, and in-store orders are executed.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience and support positive customer survey results.
• Work hands-on in different positions during breakfast and lunch rushes and manage team breaks.
• Close the store and prepare it for the following day after doors close at 2 p.m.
• Handle scheduling, ordering, and inventory.
• Take the daily deposit to the bank.
• Recruit quality team members and develop internal talent.
• Achieve food cost goals and labor targets.
