About The Position

Mach 1 is a growing, family-owned company serving Illinois and Indiana. The Convenience Store General Manager manages the entire store location, provides exemplary customer service, builds team member relations, and works to ensure the location’s highest profitability. The role supervises 10–12 sales associates and oversees the store’s day-to-day operations.

Able to multitask and remain extremely organized.
Physically able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand for extended periods.
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Background screen required.

Responsibilities

Supervise 10–12 sales associates.
Interview, hire, and train sales associates.
Ensure a safe environment for customers and employees.
Ensure the store’s appearance reflects company standards.
Comply with federal and state laws pertaining to store operations.
Handle daily paperwork, bank deposits, inventory counts, cash audits, invoice processing, order placement, and scheduling.
Control labor hours and oversee day-to-day operations.
Monitor competitor pricing at local competing stores.
