About The Position

The Scenter Manager is a hands-on leadership role at Scenthound, responsible for daily operations, sales, customer service, and maintaining a safe, high-quality dog wellness environment. The manager oversees key performance indicators, including Labor Efficiency Ratio, Average Ticket Price, Rebook Ratio, and Membership Growth. The role calls for a confident, compassionate, adaptable, and detail-oriented leader who can solve problems independently and lead with integrity and honesty.

Requirements

• Management experience.
• Customer service experience in retail or restaurant settings.
• Strength to lift up to 70 pounds and stamina to stand for long periods.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment.
• Effective communication with team members and dog parents.
• Leadership, coaching, and mentorship skills.
• Ability to recruit and hire and to create a happy, effective team.

Responsibilities

• Drive membership sales through health and wellness education.
• Maintain a knowledgeable team that prioritizes dog wellness and safety.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Scenter employees.
• Develop employees through leadership, training, and performance reviews.
• Uphold quality standards through hands-on participation, employee audits, and training.
• Communicate information from upper management to the team promptly and accurately.
• Identify where assistance is needed and help keep the Scenter on schedule.
• Create an environment that supports teamwork, open communication, and Scenthound values.
• Manage client expectations and resolve customer concerns.
• Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times.
• Follow Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices.
