This role is for a General Manager to launch, manage, and grow a local market in Omaha, focusing on B2C residential Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for patient mobility, safety, and independence. The Selling General Manager will lead their team to achieve 5-star customer experience reviews through consultative in-home sales, timely installations, and responsive service.

Requirements

  • Residential Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or Home Medical Equipment (HME) industry experience required (B2C).
  • Proven experience as a successful Sales producer and manager.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills, presentation skills, and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Financial acumen including understanding of a budget.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Travel up to 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales goals for number of appointments, conversion rate, and total sales revenue.
  • Complete estimates and contracts with clear product solutions and scope of work.
  • Lead relationship development with community and patient referral sources, holding in-services, and hosting events.
  • Review sales and projects to confirm quality standards of product, installation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage local vendor relationships with subcontractors.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for customer, system, and process issues.
  • Maintain accurate and adequate inventory for all stocked equipment.
  • Manage fleet/vehicle maintenance, repairs, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure timely response and completion of all service calls, tracking warranty information, and confirming satisfactory completion and billing.
  • Lead by example through ride-alongs, mentoring, and developing an understanding of each role.
  • Hire, train, and develop the team to achieve goals and exceed customer and referral partner expectations.
  • Achieve revenue targets and manage costs to a budget, ensuring net profit goals are met.
  • Scale and grow the local market.
  • Communicate, educate, and ensure team compliance with laws, regulatory agencies, and company policies.
