THE OPTIMIST GENERAL MANAGER – UP TO $120K/yr. + BONUS (Midtown)
About The Position
Rocket Farm Restaurants is seeking an accomplished General Manager for The Optimist, a restaurant offering a seaside fish camp experience with high-quality, sustainably sourced seafood and beach-food classics. The General Manager will lead all aspects of restaurant operations by guiding the team in an open, positive, and approachable manner. This role involves monitoring the entire restaurant, controlling reservations and seating, overseeing menu changes, and managing hiring, training, and staff development. The General Manager must anticipate guest needs to ensure total satisfaction, monitor team service and performance, and lead daily meetings while fostering an educational and positive work environment.
Requirements
- 10-years of progressive restaurant experience preferred
- Five years of which are in senior management
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of restaurant operations
- Lead the team in an open, positive and approachable manner
- Monitor the restaurant in its entirety
- Control reservations and seating
- Oversee menu changes
- Hire, train, and develop all staff
- Monitor the service and performance of the team
- Anticipate guests’ needs to proactively and effectively ensure guests’ total satisfaction
- Lead daily meetings
- Foster an educational and positive work environment
