About The Position

We’re an entertainment based facility with a small (but growing!) chain of centers in Alberta, with locations in Edmonton and Calgary. Our customers come to us for special occasions (Birthday Parties, Corporate Events, Youth Group Events) as well as for some casual fun, primarily aged 6 to 12, but also teens and adults. The General Manager plays a key role in delivering outstanding experiences for our guests—ensuring we have the right team in place, with the right skills and tools, at the right time. This role involves working closely with the senior leadership team and playing an integral role in day-to-day operations, focusing on cultivating a fantastic team environment, enhancing customer satisfaction, and maintaining a well-organized, safe, and welcoming space. The ideal candidate should love working with kids.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule efficiently.
  • A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license are required.
  • 5+ years of experience in retail management or a comparable leadership role.
  • Experience in scheduling and managing a team of 10+ employees.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive, energetic, and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain an outstanding team by overseeing hiring, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture through training, coaching, and team-building events.
  • Manage scheduling, including shift assignments, time-off requests, and last-minute coverage.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Participate in routine meetings as part of the leadership team.
  • Maintain accurate records and update performance metrics (NPS, KPIs, etc.).
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handle select customer inquiries via phone and email, providing friendly and efficient support.
  • Address and resolve any customer concerns to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Ensure the team is delivering exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Oversee the facility’s upkeep, ensuring it remains safe, stocked, and welcoming for guests.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards.
  • Perform basic facility maintenance tasks as needed.
