About The Position

Manitoulin Group of Companies is seeking an Account Manager for their Edmonton (Acheson) location. This is a growth-focused sales role responsible for securing new customers, introducing new services to existing customers, and managing a current account base. The territory will cover Edmonton and smaller towns in the Northern Alberta area. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, curious, self-motivated, a strong communicator with excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and organizational skills. A college or university degree is required, and experience in the transportation industry is advantageous.

Requirements

  • University/College Degree or Diploma
  • A Minimum of 2 years related sales experience
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle in good condition
  • Computer literate (Excel, Word, Gmail, etc.)
  • Good communication skills with proficiency in listening, selling (persuasion), problem-solving, and negotiation
  • Must be flexible to deal effectively with changing circumstances, customer demands, last-minute requests, and deadlines
  • Must be well-organized and able to manage time efficiently and effectively

  • Experience or knowledge of the Transportation industry

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and win new customers.
  • Strategically grow existing business opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure customers receive committed service.
  • Attend sales meetings, industry functions, trade shows, and training programs.
  • Travel 25-30% of the time, which may include overnight stays with reimbursed expenses.
  • Complete and submit all reports in a timely fashion.
  • Utilize laptop and contact management system daily, including time management, planning, scheduling calls, and updating CRM.
