This is an incredible opportunity to be part of our team as the General Manager overseeing a highly respected luxury residential resort at The Lodge at Kukui'ula in Koloa, on the island of Kauai. Requirements

  • This leader must possess exceptional leadership skills within an upscale or luxury resort operation.
  • Prior experience in Hawaii and working within a residential homeowners is preferred.
  • The leader should excel in guest, homeowner and associate relations and must be resourceful, highly self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
  • It is expected that this leader will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and be able to guide and direct work teams, individuals, and property operating departments to achieve financial objectives.
  • The General Manager must also possess a track record of providing exceptional service experiences balanced with operational efficiency, capital project management, and strong local community involvement.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Assistant General Manager or Director of Operations in a resort hotel or condominium property.
  • Must have a working knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Must be able to read and understand financial statements.
  • Must be able to communicate thoughts and ideas clearly in verbally and written for employees, owners, and guests.

Responsibilities

  • The General Manager is responsible for managing the rental property and department budgetsto achieve desired results in the Front Office, Housekeeping, and Maintenance financial goals.
  • Ensure each property & department efficiently operates and fulfills all contracted, legal, and internal control requirements.
  • Position will act as a dual role, managing the Guest Experience and supporting the unit acquisition, enhancing the owner experience, and creating more opportunities.
  • Ensures all Front Office and Rooms Division departments meet standards and achieve goals.
  • Encourages a positive team member attitude, upholds CoralTree Residence Collection Hawaii values, mission and vision statements and fully supports the guiding principles.
  • Helps foster a progressive, results-oriented culture, by leading by example, motivating, training, and holding all assigned team members accountable for the execution of their roles to achieve personal and company goals.
  • The General Manager is responsible for managing the CoralTree rental program.
  • The GM ensures that a first-class maintenance and housekeeping operation are in place to service the property and residences under management.
  • In addition, the GM oversees services provided by the front desk.
  • The GM will embody, build, and support a culture of care and service dedication that elevates the resort experience for all.
  • This person must build, develop, and retain a leadership team and must be able to effectively communicate expectations.
  • The GM holds leadership accountable for successful implementation of service and strategy implementation.
