General Manager

Crunch Fitness - Greater San DiegoClovis, CA
$60,000 - $80,000Onsite

About The Position

We’re looking for a General Manager who wants to lead not just manage. If you’re the kind of leader who walks into a club and immediately starts looking for ways to make it better, we want to meet you. Our goal is simple: build the best gym in the area. That takes more than managing schedules and checking boxes. It takes a leader who is visible, competitive, hands-on, and willing to put in the work to build an exceptional team, create a great member experience, and deliver results. This is an opportunity to take a club with a lot of potential and make it exceptional. You’ll have the opportunity to make decisions, develop your team, build the culture, and directly influence the success of the club. We’re looking for someone who wants to build something great, not simply manage what already exists. If you’re motivated by high standards, strong teams, measurable results, and the opportunity to make a real difference, we want to hear from you. At Crunch, we combine serious fitness with serious fun. From our welcoming vibe to our creative classes and community-driven approach, we’re all about helping people feel good while getting stronger, and we’re just getting warmed up.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of leadership or management experience; fitness industry experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • CPR/AED Certification required
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive sales, and improve business performance
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • A coach who develops people and holds them accountable
  • A leader who leads from the front and sets the standard through their own actions
  • Someone who is energetic, competitive, resilient, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Someone who takes ownership instead of making excuses.
  • You don’t wait to be told what needs to be done.
  • You see a problem and solve it.
  • You hold yourself accountable before holding others accountable.
  • You’re comfortable having difficult conversations.
  • You believe great teams are built through coaching, consistency, and high expectations.
  • And when the club isn’t where it needs to be, your first question is: “What can I do to make it better?”

Responsibilities

  • Build the Team: Create a team that is motivated, accountable, and proud of where they work. Hire great people, coach them, develop them, and hold them to a high standard.
  • Drive Results: Membership and personal training sales are a major part of this role. You’ll set expectations, track performance, coach to the numbers, and make sure the team understands what it takes to win.
  • Create an Exceptional Club: The details matter. Cleanliness, equipment, organization, energy, service, and member experience should never be an afterthought. You’ll own the standard and make sure your team does too.
  • Lead the Business: Understand the numbers. Manage the budget. Control expenses. Identify opportunities. Solve problems. Make decisions. Follow through.
  • Build the Culture: The GM sets the tone. We need someone who creates an environment where people want to work, members want to be here, and everyone understands that how we show up matters.
