About The Position

The General Manager provides strategic leadership, sales and operational oversight for Cowork IC and The Landing, managing a complex operation that serves 150+ members, generates multiple revenue streams, and integrates with the broader Industry City ecosystem. The General Manager will be responsible for attracting new members, managing lease agreements, and ensuring a seamless onboarding process for all tenants. Additionally, this role involves managing the business aspects of the facility, including occupancy rates, budgeting, forecasting, and recommending improvements to drive leasing initiatives. This is a full-time position and requires on-site presence. An ideal candidate will have a passion for best-in-class service and a strong desire to develop an understanding of comprehensive business.

Requirements

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and people skills.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience, ideally in coworking or a relevant, adjacent luxury, high-touch environment.
  • Self-starter who works well independently and with management.
  • Proficiency in leasing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the leasing process, from initial inquiries to lease signing and renewal.
  • Develop and maintain leasing strategies to attract new tenants and meet occupancy targets.
  • Foster strong relationships with tenants to promote tenant retention and satisfaction.
  • Maintain strong occupancy levels by monitoring leasing activity, analyzing market trends, and implementing effective leasing initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to remain competitive in the market.
  • Compile annual budgets and conduct periodic forecasting to optimize revenue and expenses.
  • Make recommendations to Senior Management and the Partnership for improvements to the space and curate events to drive leasing initiatives and enhance the tenant experience.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for existing tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly.
  • Foster a sense of community among tenants through regular communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure tenants receive excellent customer service and support.
  • Ensure billing system reliability and accuracy across all platforms.
  • Oversee member billing, accounts receivable and financial system improvements.
  • Monitor and approve operational expenses.
  • Lead automation initiatives and process optimization projects.
  • Maintain final accountability for facility operations and member satisfaction.
  • Handle crisis management and after-hours emergency escalations.
