About The Position

The Food & Beverage General Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of The Owner's Box, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining Omni Hotels & Resorts Food & Beverage standards, company policies, and operational excellence. This leader will oversee all front-of-house operations, develop and mentor associates, drive financial performance, and create memorable experiences for both guests and team members in a high-volume sports bar environment.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of leadership experience as a Restaurant General Manager or Food & Beverage General Manager in a high-volume restaurant or sports bar environment preferred.
  • Experience managing a sports bar is required.
  • Proven success in a busy, fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Experience managing restaurant financials, including labor, food cost, beverage cost, inventory, and par controls.
  • Strong understanding of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and guest service skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
  • Current Food Handler and TABC certifications, or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull moderate weight without assistance.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily operations of The Owner's Box, ensuring efficient and profitable service.
  • Lead managers and associates to deliver exceptional guest service and memorable dining experiences.
  • Responsible for assigned shifts while assisting with the overall management of the outlet.
  • Complete environmental checklists for the dining room and bar.
  • Monitor liquor pars and inventory controls.
  • Order daily operating supplies.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings.
  • Train, coach, and develop associates while following established training programs.
  • Handle guest comments and complaints, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
  • Remain visible on the floor during peak business periods.
  • Interact with guests and solicit feedback to continuously improve service.
  • Observe, teach, coach, and elevate service standards.
  • Monitor every aspect of the guest experience.
  • Ensure food preparation and beverage presentation meet quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the dining room and bar.
  • Prepare schedules, complete weekly payroll, and forecast weekly and monthly labor and revenue.
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new associates.
  • Submit maintenance requests and follow through to completion.
  • Monitor food and liquor requisitions, inventory, and food waste.
  • Enforce bar controls, including shot glass usage, red-lining procedures, and daily bottle audits.
  • Ensure compliance with all liquor liability laws, health regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Promote a safe working environment by following emergency procedures and preventing accidents.
  • Drive sales initiatives and maximize profitability through effective labor, food cost, and beverage cost management.
