The General Manager is responsible for everything that happens during their shift, including cost, inventory, and cash controls, customer relations, staffing, paperwork, food management, scheduling, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability. Store conditions may include temperature extremes, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. The description also includes driving-specific duties and requirements: delivering products and promotional materials, using an insured vehicle, and holding a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
