The General Manager is responsible for everything that happens during their shift, including cost, inventory, and cash controls; customer relations; staffing; paperwork; food management; scheduling; store cleanliness; marketing; and profitability. The manager sets an example by following all policies and procedures and expects the same from the crew, while maintaining store standards and providing great customer service. The role also includes the general duties performed by store team members: operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Delivery duties described in the posting include delivering products by car to customers and delivering flyers and door hangers; delivery requires a valid driver's license, a safe driving record meeting company standards, and access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery. Work involves standing and walking, occasional sitting for paperwork, lifting and carrying supplies and products, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs or ladders, bending, crouching, and continuous reaching. Conditions include varying temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, and sometimes adverse weather. The role requires communication, basic arithmetic, order-entry and computer skills, coordination, navigation, judgment, and the ability to work independently and with others under stress.
