About The Position
At Yardstick, we’ve defined dog hospitality. We're a boutique, suites-only dog hotel built around personalized care, elevated service, and a calmer, more thoughtful experience for both dogs and their humans. We're excited to bring Yardstick to Raleigh as we establish our newest market. As we continue to grow, we're building a leadership team that will help shape our future in the Raleigh area. We're looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys building strong teams, creating exceptional guest experiences, and helping establish Yardstick in a brand-new market. Requirements
- 5+ years of leadership or people management experience
- Strong operational and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- High integrity, reliability, and accountability
- Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
- Excited by growth and motivated by ownership and responsibility
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed (we’re open 365 days a year)
Nice To Haves
- Pet industry experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Lead the opening and day-to-day management of our new Franklin location
- Hire, train, and develop a team of approximately 12 full- and part-time employees
- Create a strong team culture centered around hospitality, accountability, and care
- Own scheduling, labor management, and daily operations
- Deliver exceptional customer and guest experiences
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and well-run facility
- Oversee inventory, supply ordering, and facility upkeep
- Build relationships within the Franklin community through outreach and local partnerships
- Work closely with leadership on operational improvements and company growth initiatives
