About The Position

Five Star Parks & Attractions is seeking a General Manager for its family entertainment centers. This role is ideal for experienced casual dining operators who can manage a high-volume, multi-revenue line business. The General Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the park, including FOH, BOH, attractions, games, retail, parties, and corporate events. The position requires significant floor presence (70%+ of the shift) with the remaining time dedicated to forecasting, scheduling, ordering, P&L reviews, and vendor management. The role offers a clear career path within a rapidly growing company, with opportunities for advancement to Multi-Unit GM, Regional Director, or corporate roles.

Requirements

  • 10+ years as a GM or strong AGM/Senior AGM in casual dining, polished casual, family dining, fast casual, eat-ertainment, or hotel F&B.
  • Multi-revenue-line experience is a plus.
  • Numbers-fluent: ability to read a P&L, build a labor plan, defend a forecast, explain variance, and know prime cost.
  • People-magnetic: ability to build strong relationships with former and current team members.
  • Standards-obsessed: attention to detail regarding cleanliness and operational standards, with the ability to coach effectively.
  • Calm in chaos: ability to manage under pressure during unexpected events.
  • Available when it matters: willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.
  • Tech-comfortable with POS systems (Aloha, Toast, Micros, NCR), scheduling software (HotSchedules, 7shifts, UKG), inventory systems, and Microsoft 365.
  • ServSafe Manager and TIPS / state alcohol certifications in hand.

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-unit, multi-concept, or new-restaurant-opening experience.
  • Casual dining brand pedigree.
  • F&B + entertainment combo experience (bowling, eat-ertainment, hotel resort, country club, or family entertainment center).
  • Bachelor's in business, hospitality, or restaurant management.
  • Experience integrating ERP, scheduling, and back-office systems through an acquisition or remodel.
  • Redemption/arcade systems experience (Embed, Intercard, Sacoa).

Responsibilities

  • Own a full P&L, including revenue, food and beverage costs, labor, attractions revenue per cap, games per cap, prize cost, R&M, and EBITDA.
  • Build accurate forecasts and budgets, and defend variances.
  • Manage inventory across food, beverage, retail, redemption prizes, and game cards/wristbands.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop a salaried management team and a 40–150+ hourly crew.
  • Run a tight meeting cadence: daily pre-shift, weekly manager meeting, monthly business review, quarterly planning.
  • Coach with specifics, praise loudly, correct privately, and document everything.
  • Build a bench of talent for future promotions.
  • Walk the floor every shift, acting as both GM and guest.
  • Own service recovery, ensuring it is fast, generous, on-brand, and on your watch.
  • Hit secret shop scores, NPS, and Google review targets.
  • Hold the standard through daily walk-throughs against Safe, Clean, Fun standards, weekly audits, monthly deep cleans, and quarterly safety drills.
  • Oversee food safety (ServSafe), responsible alcohol service (TIPS or state-equivalent), and attraction safety protocols.
  • Partner with corporate teams to keep attractions up and earning.
  • Act as the face of the park in the local market, engaging with schools, chambers, youth sports, and local media.
  • Partner with corporate Marketing and Regional Director of Sales to drive group bookings, parties, and corporate events.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance bonus tied to sales, prime cost, EBITDA, and guest scores
  • Better hours than a typical restaurant (earlier closing times, not a brunch business)
  • Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO
  • Free play for employee and their guests
  • Real development opportunities: leadership training, cross-brand exposure, mentorship
  • Opportunity to work at a private-equity-backed growth company
