About The Position

The General Manager (GM) will oversee front of house and back of house, and infrastructural operations, including financials, service levels, etc. The GM runs meetings, ensures that broad matters are dealt with and executed, and maintains a strategic operating plan and communicates such plans to assistant managers, the Executive Chef, and staff. The General Manager will maintain a broad strategic approach to all relevant restaurant functions. This position largely works independently, but interfaces regularly with company ownership, and other functional managers to maintain cohesiveness.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
  • Passion and knowledge of the beverage/alcohol industry.
  • Ability to discern program successes and deficiencies, and to lead thereon; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and general office equipment.
  • 3+ of previous general management experience.
  • Food Service/Restaurant industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain favorable business relationship with peers, staff, vendors, and other company employees.
  • Maximize cost controls through training, monitoring, inventory controls, and correct POS pricing structures.
  • Ensure all financial and administrative reporting is accurate and submitted according to scheduled deadlines.
  • Reviews order history, sales reports, and other relevant pieces of data to monitor profit and loss.
  • Collaborates with the Executive Chef to maintain accurate pricing and inventory.
  • Perform regular kitchen and counter checks to ensure overall efficiency of business operations.
  • Respond to guest complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to promote customer retention.
  • Drive labor performance by creating schedules, managing staffing levels, and making real-time operational decisions to consistently achieve labor budget goals while maintaining an exceptional guest experience.
  • Provide direct leadership and oversight to the Banquet Manager, ensuring successful event execution, team development, operational excellence, and alignment with company standards and financial objectives.
